2010 China International Textile And Garment Trade Forum

"2010 China International Textile and garment trade development forum" was held at the Canton Fair Exhibition Hall, and nearly 200 delegates from eleven countries and regions were present.

The delegates discussed the latest development trend and challenges of the international textile and garment trade, and exchanged experiences and practices on the textile industry in the face of crisis, adjustment and pformation, brand research and development, increasing value-added and increasing high-tech content.

Huang Yuefeng, chief textile officer of the Ministry of foreign trade of the Ministry of Commerce of China, said that the textile exports in mainland China in 2010 were warmer than those in the same period in 2009, but still lower than the average growth rate during the normal period.

Overall, China's textile and clothing export situation is better than expected at the beginning of the year.

Huang Yuefeng pointed out that at present, the international market competition is quite fierce, the trade friction phenomenon is still serious, and the pressure of business operation is increasing, leading to the expansion of export internal strength. The adjustment task of the Chinese textile and garment industry is still arduous, and we need to accelerate the pformation of the direction of foreign trade development.

Minera Akio, a senior researcher of Japan's fiber input and output combination, said at the forum that China's products account for 95% of Japan's total imports. Currently, Japan's textile trade is at its biggest turning point. Mainland China is about to become Japan's largest trading nation.

Huang Weiji, Secretary General of Taiwan Textile Development Association, said that the 18 verification method of functional textiles in Taiwan is the highlight of the development of the textile industry, and will cooperate with the mainland market in many ways in the future.

Che Ketao, vice chairman and chief executive officer of Yida group, said that China's economy should take the road of sustainable development, and only through pformation and upgrading.

Transformation and upgrading require technological innovation.

For this reason, enterprises should not only improve the quality and efficiency of products, but also improve the automation process, improve service level, and achieve energy saving and emission reduction.

Hilton, President of the fair Labour Association, pointed out that the value chain of China's garment industry is particularly urgent. China's success in the fashion industry will play a great role.

The future development direction of textile and garment industry is to build energy saving production and enterprises with fast production capacity, and promote low carbon life and low carbon society.

Zhou Jian, deputy general manager of China export credit insurance company, pointed out that the financial crisis has hit the production mode of textile and garment enterprises in mainland China.

At present, China's mainland enterprises need to break through the conservative trading mode, make full use of national financial capital and credit instruments to expand their business and realize the new credit mode.

China's textile and garment export enterprises should move forward from the original stage of "low-grade products and cash pactions" to the stage of "high-end products and credit pactions".

Fu Lixin, chairman of the European textile and garment Federation, suggested that although the international economic situation is uncertain, the economic rebound will enable enterprises to see hope.

He believes that there are five major trends in the development of global textile and garment industry: first, ordinary commodities will be pformed into special products; two, Internet technology has promoted the improvement of the service level of the industry; three, the demand for new products has been increasing; four, the textile industry has put forward higher requirements for raw materials; five, the industry has focused on sustainable development, and promoted green technology and green economy.
