Indonesia Promulgated The New Labelling Law Involving Footwear Products

The entry-exit inspection and Quarantine Bureau has learned that the Ministry of trade of Indonesia has recently promulgated a labeling law, which mainly deals with the distribution and sale of non food products in the Indonesian market.


According to the labeling act, since July 1st this year, Indonesian market imports and domestic products must be printed in neiwen, and contain relevant information, including product name or brand name, locally produced products, name and address of manufacturer, and importer's name and address as well as country of origin.


According to the regulations listed in the appendix

Product category

Household appliances, communications, information technology equipment, building materials, motor vehicle raw materials (parts), and footwear, leather goods and clothing, and other textile products are included.


It is understood that for the products currently not sold in the Indonesia market, the effective date of the regulation is July 2010, and the effective date for the distribution and sale of the products already in the country is December 2010.


According to the Yiwu inspection and Quarantine Bureau, as of mid June of this year, Yiwu has completed the export to Indonesia.

In the 175 batch, the trade volume amounted to US $about 4400000.

Compared with last year, the number of goods exported to Indonesia increased by nearly ten percentage points.

The export commodities are mainly light industrial products, textile products and mechanical and electrical products.
