China'S Online Retail MarketTmallCross-Border Electricity Supplier Tax Reform New Deal

The retail industry in China continues to develop rapidly under strong pressure.

In September 7th, the China Electronic Commerce Research Center released the "

2016 (China) Internet retail market data monitoring report

"In the first half of this year, the scale of China's online retail market has reached 2 trillion and 314 billion 194 million yuan, up 43.4% from the first half of 2015, compared with 16140 yuan in the first half of this year," it said.

Among them, cross-border electricity providers, rural electricity providers, and mobile electricity providers have become the three carriages driving the growth of online retail, and continue to develop at a high speed.

The report predicts that the scale of China's online retail market is expected to reach 52218 billion yuan this year.

However, the market share of the top ten B2C electricity suppliers has declined.

China Electronic Commerce Research Center said that this report focuses on monitoring the electricity supplier enterprises:

Tmall

Jingdong, vip.com, suning.com, Amazon China, Gome online, Dangdang, jumei.com and so on.

B2C's market share continued to expand after it exceeded the C2C market.

The report shows that in the first half of this year, China's B2C network retail market (including open platform and self sales, excluding brand electric business) ranked first in Tmall, accounting for 53.2%, while Jingdong ranked 24.8% in the market share.

According to the report analysis, the retail market share of the top ten B2C retailers reached 92.9%, down 2.2% from 95.1% in the first half of 2015.

It can be seen that although the living space of small and medium-sized electricity providers is compressed, there is still a way out.

China's electricity supplier market has entered a stable period.

Mo Daiqing, director and senior analyst of the online retail department of China Electronic Commerce Research Center, believes that the fluctuation of the retail market share is not obvious in the first half of the year, and the competition pattern is basically stable. "The electricity providers are deeply cultivated and meticulous, and they are making positive arrangements for cross-border electricity providers, rural electricity providers, network providers, consumer financing, e-commerce logistics, intelligent hardware, and so on, and establish their own ecosystem."

Cross border electricity supplier tax reform new deal

It is doubtless the heaviest event in the industry in the first half of the year.

Despite the eventual extension of the one year implementation of the cross-border electricity tax reform, it conveys a clear signal: the "arbitrage" era of cross-border e-commerce is fading away.

The report shows that the scale of cross-border e-commerce pactions in the first half of this year amounted to 512 billion 500 million yuan, while the whole year will reach 1 trillion and 100 billion yuan.

According to the report analysis, although the "cross-border New Deal" started to surge in the first half of the year, the import cross-border electricity supplier continued to grow, and the competitive advantage of the regular cross-border e-commerce retail import enterprises was further highlighted.

With the frequent introduction of relevant policies since 2015, rural electricity providers have also become a new battleground for business enterprises.

The report shows that the scale of rural online shopping in the first half of this year reached 312 billion yuan, and it is expected to reach 647 billion 500 million yuan by 2016.

Mo Daiqing said that with the rapid development of electricity providers such as Ali, Jingdong, Suning and other fast channels, the rural online shopping market has increased rapidly, and its growth rate has exceeded that of cities.

In addition, with the rapid development of intelligent terminals and mobile Internet, the convenience of mobile shopping has become more and more prominent, and has become the mainstream trend.

The report shows that in the first half of 2016, the scale of China Mobile online shopping pactions reached 16070 billion yuan, up 90.8% over the same period last year, representing a year-on-year growth rate of over 90.8%.

In the view of Mo Dai Qing, the scale of mobile Internet shopping pactions has increased, and the growth rate has slowed down relatively. "With the reduction of the demographic dividend of mobile terminals, the scale of mobile Internet shopping will enter a trend of steady development."
