Adidas has used robots to make shoes into Germany's "industry 4" model.

Recently, the German sporting goods giant Adidas CEO Herbert Haina (HerbertHainer) told Japanese media that "in the face of growing market demand, we will use robots to produce, and the production line will return to Europe and the United States."

The report quoted Herbert Haina as saying that shoemaking factories had withdrawn from Europe in the past 30 years and pferred to low-cost Asian countries such as South Korea, China and Vietnam, but at present, even in Germany, where labor costs are relatively high, fewer robots can be used to produce robots for 24 hours.

Asia's production advantages are gradually weakening. "

Herbert Haina also pointed out that "production in Asia also needs time to pport (to the place of consumption)". If the local production "will speed up the operation of the whole industry and shorten the product cycle", the time of the consumption will be shortened from the current 6 weeks to 24 hours.

Adidas currently launches a new product every week, but because of the different uses, colors and sizes of these shoes, the stock is easily saturated.

If the mode of "local production and local consumption" can be realized in the future, it will shorten the delivery time, flexibly respond to consumer demand, reduce waste and achieve a small amount of production, and it can also respond quickly to changes in the trend of fashion.

At the end of May this year, Adidas had already publicizing the situation. They are ready to start the robot factory Speedfactory in their stronghold Germany, and use the intelligent robot to make sports shoes.

It is understood that the Bach plant in the southern part of Germany covers an area of 4600 square meters and is operated by Adidas OechslerMotionGmbH, a partner of Germany automation company. It will achieve great improvement in capacity, accuracy and new design.

In order to ensure the quality of products, Adidas will employ more than 160 employees to help robots produce and check.

In addition to increasing capacity, Speedfactory can also help reduce emissions of Sea gas and the use of adhesives.

This new factory, considered to be the representative of Germany's "industrial 4", is now in trial operation.

Earlier media reports said that the first batch of shoes produced by Speedfactory will be available in the second half of this year, and mass production is expected to start next year.

Adidas also plans to open second Speedfactory in the US in 2017.

For the Adidas foundries, including China, the most practical problem with the emergence of robot factories may be to take away their orders.

In recent years, with the increase of various kinds of costs, such as manpower and so on, production bases have been pferred to Vietnam, Kampuchea and other Southeast Asian countries in the clothing industry and even the entire manufacturing industry.

As early as 2012, Adidas closed the only factory in Suzhou directly under China.

This is also followed by 2009.

Close the relocation of another sporting goods giant in Taicang, the only shoe factory in China.

However, Adidas said in a reply to surging news 25, "no matter now or in the future, China is regarded as an important purchasing place of Adidas group.

The actual production volume of Adidas group in China will not decrease, and the quantity of products purchased from China will remain stable. "

For Speedfactory, Adidas said the concept of the factory originated from customized services.

"We want to use some areas (currently footwear) to automate production, shorten the distance between consumers, and create unprecedented high-performance, customized sporting goods."

Adidas also plans to produce special functions through 3D printers.

In the interview, Herbert Haina said that the next stage of robotics automation plant will be 3D printers.
