Kenya Seize The Opportunity To Develop Textile And Garment Industry

But at the same time, the article enumerates the disadvantages of developing textile and garment industry in Kenya: first, the current textile industry is more scattered and has no mature industrial chain.

Data show that at present, there are more than 75000 small and micro enterprises of textile and clothing in Kenya, more than 80% of them are informal departments, and the production facilities are relatively primitive.

At present, the textile and garment companies registered in the Kenya export processing zone (EPZ) include 22 large foreign companies, 170 large and medium-sized companies, 8 ginning plants, 8 spinning mills, 15 knitting and knitting companies, 9 accessories manufacturers, and more than 75000 small and micro enterprises.
