3D printing clothing will become a sunrise industry, and is expected to enter the family.

This breakthrough is right.

fashion

The world is undoubtedly a feat. In addition to Iris Van Herpen (famous fashion designer) always insist that every advanced customization series will have at least one from 3D printers, most people still think that the practicality of this technology is still open to question.

First of all, the fashion industry is not very close to high technology.

Despite the use of 3-D Technology

Designer

More and more, but for most mainstream designers, the new technology can not be accepted for a short time.

Of course, some jewelry designers will use this technology to quickly produce the prototype of jewelry.

Danit Peleg graduated from ShenkarColledge's design major. She tried to use 3-D technology to complete her graduation design a few weeks ago.

"I always liked the combination of high technology and fashion, so I chose laser cutting technology and 3-D printing technology for my graduation project.

I thought from the very beginning that my graduation project is based on high technology.

Danit Peleg also mentioned that at first, she knew nothing about 3-D technology, but through a large amount of data access and practice, she finally chose to test it in the laboratory of Tel Aviv Museum (the famous museum of modern art in Israel).

The first difficulty for Peleg is to print the material of clothing with 3-D.

This is also the main reason why 3-D printing technology has not been widely applied to the fashion industry.

clothing

The limitations of quality perception.

So Peleg discovered a new fiber that is softer and more flexible than the raw 3-D printing material.

Later, Danit Peleg used the fashion design software Optitex (costume design and 3-D mapping conversion software) to create lace like fabrics, and then re glued them with glue to create the amazing work that we saw.

Surprisingly, the final garments are much more reliable than imagined.

This series of graduation designs spent a total of 9 months in Danit Peleg, and more than 2000 hours to print the required materials, which did not include the time spent in the pre test stage.

It takes about 400 hours for each dress edition, which means that she needs 3 3-D printers to work at the same time (two of them are 6 machines at the same time), so that the graduation design can be completed on time.

Choose tradition than others.

Fabric

Danit Peleg seemed to spend more time, money and energy to create, but eventually she did it and was chosen to attend the graduation fashion show of the school.

3-D printing is indeed a sunrise industry in the future. It can make things quickly.

But for fashion, the traditional technology is more efficient and fast.
