Recently, the Dongying Municipal Bureau of statistics released the operation of the consumer goods market in the first eight months of Dongying. Jewellery Class dropped 6.7%, down 36.7 percentage points, coal and products retail sales increased 14.9%, down 15.6 percentage points, building and decoration materials category increased 5.4%, down 10.3 percentage points.
In recent years, due to market and policy factors, some of the large department stores located in high-end retail outlets in Dongying have gradually increased competition pressure.
