H&M Third Quarter Growth 20%
The world's second largest apparel retailer, Hennes & Mauritz (H&M), announced the third quarter ending August, with a net profit of 5 billion 296 million kronor ($740 million), an annual increase of 20%.
During the period, post tax turnover increased by 21% to 38 billion 805 million kronor ($5 billion 420 million); gross margin fell by 0.5 percentage points to 58.3%.
H&M In the first three quarters, the post tax turnover was 108 billion 775 million kronor ($15 billion 200 million), and the net profit was 13 billion 754 million kroner ($1 billion 920 million).
In addition, on the first 23 days of September Sales volume (in local currency) increased by 7% annually, and sales during the period were affected by warmer weather.
The company said it plans to set up about 375 stores worldwide in October, and will enter the Philippines market in October. However, the plan to open shops in autumn and winter this year will be postponed to next year.
Meanwhile, H&M intends to enter South Africa next year. Peru Taiwan and Macao markets; and e-commerce in 8 to 10 markets.

The creative park organically combines industrial clusters with urban functions, and is committed to building an industrial environment suitable for industrial development and entrepreneurship. When the creative park is completed and put into operation, there will be a number of design universities and enterprises, e-commerce, fashion culture communication and creative, brand and technology innovation enterprises.
