A shoe factory in southern Vietnam on the 23 day, hundreds of workers suffered from collective food poisoning and were sent to a local hospital for treatment.

News from the shoe factory in southern Vietnam's Xining Province confirmed that hundreds of people were hospitalized for food poisoning, but the Vietnamese National Youth Daily said the number of poisoning was "close to 1000".

A worker in charge of a shoe factory said: "the workers' dinner on the 23 day is rice, tofu, cabbage and fish. Many people feel dizzy after eating, and some people have severe pain in their stomach and head."

At present, some toxic workers have been discharged from the hospital, but many people remain in the hospital for further treatment.
