The new version of ISO 8124-3 standard ISO 8124-3:2010 has been released. This issue is the second edition of the standard, which takes the place of the previous 1997 edition standard.

ISO 8124-3:2010 "Toy Safety - the third part: migration of specific elements" mainly controls the heavy metal content of the contact materials in toy products.

The standard update did not change the specific limit values of the standard, but adjusted at some non technical level.

2) the new standard has increased the definition of "paper and cardboard".

3) the new standard has changed the test reagents for deoiling and paraffin removal, and the reagents are consistent with the latest version of EN71-3.

4) the increase of new standards indicates that uncertainty should be considered when quantitative analysis meets the requirements.

5) the new standard modified the maximum inhalable amount of antimony from 1.4 micrograms per day to 0.2 micrograms per day.
